May 2021 - Local Delivery, Multi-Store Inventory, Consumer Online Shopping

It's amazing to look back at where we were this time last year. We were busy helping 660 members - representing nearly 2000 locations - launch new online identities on the MOCE platform in the midst of a global pandemic.  We saw record-breaking orders as members fulfilled customer orders via ship-to-home or ship-to-store.  We launched our first Beta Member on the Professional plan who embraced the opportunity to show in-store inventories and conduct BOPIS (buy online, pick up in-store) transactions.

Today, we have almost 700 websites on the Do it Best / MOCE platform.  We introduced this product offering with the intent "to meet members where they wanted to be today and a path for where they wanted to be tomorrow."  That thought has become a reality as we have helped members grow into the features that our upgraded plans offer.

We also promised that when a member launched on MOCE, it was only the beginning of what the platform was going to allow.  Here are some of the latest enhancements that we're excited to share.

Enhancement: Local Delivery

It is no secret that consumers now expect more options for receiving the products and services they want.  MOCE subscribers who are on the Professional plan can now offer local delivery.

Enhancement: Multi-Store Inventory

We use sophisticated technology to match online users to their closest store.  However, sometimes that store doesn't have a certain product in stock. The website of a multi-store member on the Professional plan now displays that product's inventory availability at the member's other locations.

Insights: Consumer Online Shopping

COVID-19 expedited changing consumer habits and drove consumers toward online shopping at an increased rate.  71% of shoppers say they now check product availability online before purchasing. To meet this need, MOCE now has current relationships with Epicor Eagle, TransAct, ECi RockSolid MAX, and ECi Spruce. Other providers such as Rocksolid CLASSIC and Epicor Bistrack will soon be on board as well.

This trend, along with many other insightful and valuable statistics, is included in the following brochure (click here to download).
